Canesten clotrimazole cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal nappy rash and fungal sweat rash. It is also used to relieve irritation on the vulva or penis as a result of thrush. This is a Pharmacy Medicine item. - Canesten Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections.- The cream contains Clotrimazole 200mg (1% w/w).- Canesten Cream provides soothing relief from the irritation caused by fungal infections.- Apply the cream thinly to affected areas 2 or 3 times a day.- For fungal infections including fungal nappy rash.
Warning or Restrictions
- This product contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin irritation (e.g. rash, itching or redness). - Do not use on broken skin. - For external use only, if this cream is swallowed accidently, please seek medical advice immediately. - As with other creams, this product may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives, such as condoms or diaphragms. As a result, if you are using this cream on the vulva or penis, please use alternative precautions for at least five days after using this product. - Please consult your pharmacist or doctor before using this medicine if you are currently pregnant, likely to get pregnant or breastfeeding.- Please consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are currently taking any other medicines as this may cause an interaction.- If you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients contained in this medicine, please seek medical advice before taking.- If you have any questions after you have bought this medication, please speak to your pharmacist.

Product Uses
Ensure the skin is clean and dry prior to application. Apply thinly and evenly to the affected area(s) two to three times daily. Do not rub in. Wash hands before and after use.
